The Queen's Retreat

Put an end to feeling guilty about all the self-care you think you “should” do.

Join me for The Queen’s Retreat and we’ll design a customized, enjoyable, and effective self-care plan that works for your busy life.

You’re beating yourself when you deserve to be treated like a queen.

You’re feeling guilty and overwhelmed about everything you “should” be doing in your life to be healthier and feel better.

You’re flirting with burnout when you could be flirting with sexy people.

And while you don’t know what the answer to your problems is just yet… You certainly know what the answer ISN’T.

It’s not training for a marathon.

You don’t even like running. Just because the human body is capable of it does not mean you need to be another person to prove that it’s true. Why not learn a new skill and build strength at the same time like rock climbing, pole dancing, or aerial silks?

It’s not going on the latest super- limiting food plan that seems to be working for everyone else.

I don’t care how healthy a meal plan sounds. If you’ve struggled with disordered eating in the past, a restrictive meal plan is not healthy for your physical or mental health. Plus, do you even have the ability to buy and prep all those specialty foods long-term?

And it’s not trying to lose 5-10 pounds because you bought pants that are a size too small as “motivation.”

How many clothes are suffocating your closet because you had every intention to lose weight? The world needs women to show up more boldly, not less. You have more important things to worry about criticizing yourself into weight loss.

You KNOW you need support to build healthier habits and put an end to feeling drained for energy and all-around “blah” in your body.

But when you look around for options, all of the stuff out there is just… Not quite what you need. It’s time-consuming, expensive, and way too complicated.

It would be great if you could…

  • Have access to a fitness and chronic illness expert who understands that sometimes you can’t “just do it,” especially when you have a demanding life and low energy levels that are calling the shots every day.
  • Dive deep into your self-care troubles for a day.
  • Get just the right amount of support to get you to focus and commit to a self-care plan that’s doable for your life right now (not the one you’re daydreaming about.)
  • Well… I have some good news for you, friend.

That’s exactly what you sign up for when you book a Queen’s Retreat with me!

“Michelle did a great job helping me re-frame something I had been very anxious about. For example, I felt unable to keep up with cleaning/organizing the house during this strange quarantine time. After talking through specific pain points during the day, Michelle made the suggestion to focus only on common areas and leave the others be. This has already made a big difference in the two weekdays following our call! Plus, the time seemed perfect for allowing time to process each other’s messages, get things done, eat a meal, etc.”

How does The Queen’s Retreat work?

We’ll spend our time together talking over Voxer, a walkie-talkie app that allows us to exchange voice and text messages.

During The Queen’s Retreat, we’ll be in touch over Voxer to dive deep into whatever is keeping you feeling guilty and overwhelmed about all the self-care you think you “should” be doing but aren’t doing and come up with a manageable and efficient you actually can do.

Here’s how a Day of Voxer works:

1. You choose a date for your Day of Voxer.

You don’t need to free your calendar for this. A Day of Voxer is very multi-tasking with laundry while doing a side-project friendly.

You just need to make sure you have enough time between your day’s activities to listen and reply to messages – as well as the mental space to think about how you really want to feel in your body and life and process the deep questions that I’m likely to ask here and there.

2. We get you set up on Voxer.

If you don’t have a Voxer account, you’ll create one – it’s free.

We’ll add each other on Voxer, and you can send me a message in advance to tell me more about what’s troubling you. This way, we can dive right in when your day starts.

3. When your Day of Voxer comes, you’ll have access to me for 5 hours.

Don’t worry – this isn’t a 5-hour long chat, and you’re not expected or supposed to be sitting by your phone waiting for replies.

We’ll be exchanging messages throughout the day at a steady yet relaxed pace. We could finish everything in a condensed amount of time or spread our convo out over the 5 hours.

The best thing about a Day of Voxer is that we have space in between messages to have juicy convos, pull out your planner to evaluate what you really have time and space for in your life, and even declutter your old fitness gear or health and beauty product stockpile.

That’s part of what makes a Day of Voxer so effective!

“As someone who lives with roommates/family members whom I don’t always want to know the intimate details about what I’m struggling with, the format of this retreat was perfect. With the voxer app, the personal connection of speaking to someone was still there, but I was able to control the flow of the conversation, which not only helped for privacy, but also allowed me to take my time to think about the questions/points Michelle brought up.”  -Emily-

What can we talk about during a Day of Voxer?

Here are some examples from past clients:

  • Relieving anxiety, stress, or anger
  • Working around an injury or temporary diagnosis
  • Adding everyday pleasure to your life
  • Designing a self-care routine in the morning or before bed

It’s also okay if you’re not sure what you want to talk about. Sometimes we just know that things are off somehow, but can’t really tell why, right? That is exactly where I come in.

During your Day of Voxer, I’ll be digging deep, asking questions, and keeping us on track until we get to the core of what’s been overwhelming you and getting in the way of treating yourself like a queen.

When you book your Queen’s Retreat, what you’re really getting is…

  • Support from a fitness expert who knows there’s more to life than working out.
  • Insights from a coach who’s really good at giving ambitious women permission to let a thing or two go.
  • Compliments and encouragement from an invisible illness sister who knows how to bring out those sexy feelings even when you’re just not feeling it.

“Michelle has a wealth of knowledge about self-care and can support your journey whether you choose to take a traditional or non-traditional approach. I left the retreat feeling confident about my plan to tackle my struggles and armed with several different helpful resources that she provided me.”

You may be wondering...

I’ll be available for you for 5 hours whether you schedule on a weekday or weekend. This means, most time zones get at least a handful of hours of conversation during a Queen Retreat.

Don’t worry. Message me using the chat box on the bottom right corner of this page, and we’ll figure something out.

Life happens – I totally get it. I’ll be setting a good portion of my day aside for you. If a reschedule happens, 24 hours advance notice is most appreciated.

Here’s an example of something that isn’t a good fit for a Day of Voxer:

Something that you should really be seeing a doctor for… I can’t and won’t diagnose you but I will help you adjust your life for your symptoms and help you explore what else might be going on.

I’ll be available for you for 5 hours on the day of your choice.

Don’t worry. This doesn’t mean we’ll be communicating nonstop for 5 hours. That’s just the window during which we’ll be exchanging messages.

During a Day of Voxer, we’ll be exchanging messages at a slow yet steady pace throughout the day.

You’ll want to make sure you have enough time to listen and reply to messages, and to think about how you really want to feel in your body and life and process the deep questions that I’m likely to ask here and there. The good news is that you can still get stuff done around the house or work on a side project.

Yes, it is! And it’s available for both mobile and desktop.

Just send me a message. There’s even a handy chat box in the bottom corner of this page.

You can DM @mybodymyqueen on Instagram and I’ll get back to you.
